A project team is just that: a team. Client, architect, engineers, and designers all represent their respective expertise in defining the project, and as the builder, we feel it is of enormous benefit to be part of this team during the design phase. Our expertise is unique, extensive and valuable, and our timely input is vital to developing a project that meets the goals of the client.
Preconstruction allows us to assess the proposed work, provide value engineering, get input from subcontractors, suggest prudent alternatives, select materials and create realistic preliminary schedules and budget estimates. This preliminary cost estimate is helpful in determining whether the construction cost of your new home project will be within the budget that you have set. If changes are desirable or necessary, they can easily be incorporated during the design phase before your architect proceeds with the final construction drawings. By the time construction starts, all the individual elements of the project are well defined in collaboration with the group.
