With multiple events held every year, you can choose a show that suits your style, or simply fits your schedule. We start with one of the industry’s biggest and best known events, the Melbourne Home Show. Attracting over 30,000 visitors and more than 300 exhibitors, this one has a little something for everyone.

Held over three days, it is built around an expansive trade hall, which showcases a variety of leading Australian businesses. Entry is free and includes access to a program of seminars on different elements of the design and build process. Attendees can also buy innovative home products, often for a discount, and get expert advice on their plans.

This show does have a distinct focus on home improvements, so is better suited to those planning a renovation project. That said, there is still plenty on offer for those choosing to build new, knockdown and rebuild or a dual occupancy project. Everything from contemporary and modern to heritage and French Provincial home styles will also be represented.

Tying in with seasonal trends, the Melbourne Home Show is held twice a year – in Spring (August) and Autumn (April). To help prepare you for the warmer weather, the Spring show also features the Pool & Spa Lifestyle Expo. Whereas the Autumn show has a cosier feel, with cooking demonstrations and a focus on things like innovative heating solutions.
